Here’s the thing: Parthiveshwar means “Lord of the Earth,” and that’s exactly what this puja celebrates. We create a Shivling (the symbolic representation of Lord Shiva) out of earth, reminding ourselves that Shiva’s divine energy is present everywhere, even in the ground beneath our feet!

But why a Shivling, you ask? Let’s dive into a little history. According to ancient scriptures, the Shivling symbolizes the infinite, formless nature of Lord Shiva. A legend tells of how the gods and demons struggled to comprehend the divine, and in their attempt to measure the infinite, they realized the futility of the task. * We will set everything up! You simply have to show, with nothing but devotion in your heart!
* If a full pooja isn’t possible, simply meditate and offer prayers to Lord Shiva, focusing on his presence within the earth.
